Aluminum Plastic PPR Pipe is a multi-layer pipe that sandwiches a welded aluminum layer between two layers of polypropylene random copolymer, combining the corrosion resistance of plastic pipe with the dimensional stability and oxygen-barrier properties of metal. As a specialized PPR aluminum-plastic composite pipe manufacturer, we produce this pipe for applications where standard PPR pipe's higher thermal expansion or oxygen permeability would be a drawback.
The embedded aluminum layer significantly reduces the pipe's linear thermal expansion compared to pure PPR pipe, minimizing noise and stress at fittings and brackets during hot water cycling. It also acts as an oxygen barrier, preventing oxygen diffusion into closed heating loops — an important feature for central heating and radiator systems, where oxygen ingress can cause corrosion of metal boiler and radiator components. The pipe retains full compatibility with standard PPR fusion fittings and brass insert fittings for installation.
