PE Compression Reducing Male Threaded Coupling

PE Compression Reducing Male Threaded Coupling combines two functions in a single fitting: a diameter transition, similar to the plain reducing coupling, and a male-threaded connection point instead of a second compression port. One side accepts a PE pipe through a standard compression joint; the other side presents a male thread sized differently from the pipe's nominal diameter, intended for a female-threaded fixture.
This combination is useful where a smaller-diameter branch line needs to terminate directly at a threaded fixture, without requiring a separate reducing coupling and threaded adapter as two parts. It reduces the number of joints at that point in the system compared with combining two simpler fittings.

Application Scenarios & Installation

This fitting is used where a PE pipeline steps down in diameter and also needs to connect to threaded equipment at that same point — for example, a smaller branch line terminating at a female-threaded tap or small valve. It is common in irrigation and rural water systems where branch lines of varying sizes connect to a range of threaded fixtures.
Installation involves the same compression-side steps as other fittings in this range, plus connecting the threaded side to its mating component with appropriate sealant. Because this fitting combines two functions, installers should confirm both the pipe diameter and thread size match the specific connection being made before installation.
