PPH Female Threaded Coupling

PPH Female Threaded Coupling

PPH Female Threaded Coupling is a straight connector with female threads, used to join two male-threaded PPH pipe ends or components in a single, in-line connection. Unlike the fused sockets used elsewhere in plastic piping systems, this coupling relies entirely on threaded connections at both ends, which makes it a practical choice at points in a system where a fully removable, non-fused joint is preferred.
Because it is made from PPH rather than standard PPR, this coupling is generally intended for chemical or process piping rather than domestic water systems, and is often used together with other threaded PPH components — valves, gauges, or threaded pipe sections — in installations where the piping needs to be periodically disassembled for cleaning, inspection, or modification.

Application Scenarios & Installation

This coupling is typically used to join sections of threaded PPH pipework, or to connect two components that both present a male thread, such as certain valves or fittings in a chemical dosing or process line. It is common in laboratory piping, small-scale chemical handling systems, and any installation where a fully threaded (rather than fused) assembly is preferred for ease of future disassembly.
Because the joint relies entirely on the thread and an appropriate sealant rather than a fused wall, installers should take care to use a thread sealant compatible with the specific chemical the system will carry, and should avoid over-tightening the connection, which can damage the plastic threads. Periodic inspection of threaded joints in chemical service is generally good practice, since sealant performance can degrade over time when exposed to aggressive media.
