PPR Bridge Pipe Fitting

PPR Bridge Pipe Fitting is a specialized component shaped to let one pipe pass over another parallel pipe without the two lines physically intersecting. Rather than a straight run, the fitting is molded with a small raised loop or offset in the middle, giving the pipe just enough clearance to cross over a second line running underneath it.
This fitting solves a specific layout problem that comes up when several pipes run close together in the same plane — for example, along a wall or under a floor — and one line needs to cross another without both being rerouted around each other. Both ends of the fitting are standard PPR fusion sockets, so it installs into a pipe run the same way as a straight coupling, just with the crossover shape built into the middle section.

Application Scenarios & Installation

Bridge fittings are most often used where multiple parallel pipe runs are installed close together — such as a set of hot and cold supply lines, or several branch lines feeding a row of fixtures — and one line needs to cross over another without the installation becoming a tangle of extra elbows and offsets. This keeps the overall run visually and physically tidy compared with routing one pipe around the other with multiple standard elbows.
Installation is the same as fitting a straight coupling: both ends are fused to the connecting pipe sections, with the fitting oriented so the raised crossover section clears the pipe it needs to pass over. Because the bridge introduces a small amount of extra pipe length and a change in profile, its use is typically limited to points where a genuine crossover is needed, rather than as a general-purpose fitting.
