PPR Plastic Union Pipe Fitting

PPR Plastic Union Pipe Fitting allows a section of pipe, valve, or piece of equipment to be disconnected and reconnected without cutting into the pipe itself. It consists of three parts — two fusion-socket halves that are each welded to the pipe on either side of the joint, and a threaded collar (or nut) that draws the two halves together and compresses a seal between them.
This is different from most other PPR fittings, which form a single, permanent fused joint once installed. The union is specifically designed to be taken apart: loosening the threaded collar separates the two halves cleanly, without needing to cut the pipe, while tightening it again reforms a sealed connection. This makes it a useful fitting wherever a section of the system may need to be removed periodically, rather than only during initial construction or major repairs.
