PPR Threaded Plug Pipe Fitting

PPR Threaded Plug Pipe Fitting is a small fitting used to seal an unused threaded outlet — typically the branch of a threaded tee, a spare port on a manifold, or a threaded valve outlet that is not currently connected to anything. Unlike the fused PPR end cap, the threaded plug simply screws into the threaded port, which means it can be removed again later if that connection point needs to be used.
Because it is a threaded component rather than a fused one, the plug is generally a smaller, simpler part than most other fittings in the range, but it serves an important practical function: keeping a system pressure-tight at points where a connection has been planned for but not yet made, or where a fitting has more outlets than are currently in use.

Application Scenarios & Installation

Threaded plugs are commonly used on tee fittings with a spare threaded branch, on manifolds with unused distribution ports, or on valves with a threaded outlet that is not connected to anything at the time of installation. This is a common situation during phased construction projects, where certain fixtures or branches will be added at a later date, and the installer wants to leave a usable, reversible connection point rather than a fully sealed one.
Installing the plug generally involves applying an appropriate thread sealant and hand-tightening (with a wrench for the final turns) into the threaded port, without over-tightening to the point of stressing the mating thread.
