PPR Brass Insert Female Threaded Elbow

PPR Brass Insert Female Threaded Elbow combines two functions in one fitting: it turns the pipe run through an angle — typically 90 degrees — while also providing a female-threaded connection point at the end of that turn. This is a practical combination for situations where the pipe needs to come out of a wall or floor and immediately connect to a threaded fixture, without adding a separate elbow and adapter as two parts.
One side of the fitting is a standard PPR fusion socket, fused to the pipe in the usual way; the other side carries a brass female thread molded into the fitting body. Because the two functions are combined into a single piece, there is one fewer joint in the system compared with using a plain elbow plus a separate threaded adapter, which can be a practical advantage at fixture connection points where space is limited, such as behind a wall-mounted tap or angle valve.

Application Scenarios & Installation

This fitting is frequently used where a water supply line exits a wall or floor and needs to connect directly to a fixture with a male-threaded fitting, such as an angle stop valve under a sink, a wall-mounted tap, or a shower mixer inlet. Because it combines the turn and the thread in one piece, it is a common choice in prefabricated bathroom units and standardized fixture rough-in points, where the exact position of the threaded outlet needs to be predictable.
During rough-in installation, the fitting is typically fused to the pipe before the wall or floor finish is completed, with the threaded end positioned to end up flush with (or slightly proud of) the finished wall surface once construction is complete. Because the threaded connection is usually the visible, serviceable part of the assembly, care is generally taken to protect the thread from damage or debris during the remaining construction work before the final fixture is connected.
