PPR Brass Insert Male Threaded Elbow

PPR Brass Insert Male Threaded Elbow performs the same combined function as the female-threaded version: a directional turn plus a threaded connection point — but with a male thread instead of a female one. It is used where the fixture or component being connected has a female-threaded inlet rather than requiring a male thread from the fitting.
The fitting is constructed the same way as its female-threaded counterpart: a PPR fusion socket on one side and a brass thread molded into the body on the other, joined through the bend. Having both male and female threaded elbow options available lets installers choose the correct orientation for whatever fixture, valve, or hose connection they are working with, rather than needing to introduce an additional adapter to convert between thread types.

Application Scenarios & Installation

This fitting is used in similar rough-in and fixture-connection situations as the female-threaded elbow, but for components with a female-threaded inlet — for example, certain shut-off valves, hose bibs, or equipment connection points that expect to receive a male thread. It is also used in light commercial and irrigation piping where a PPR branch line needs to turn a corner and screw directly into female-threaded equipment.
Installation follows the same general sequence as other brass insert elbows: the PPR socket is fused to the pipe first, with the fitting positioned so the threaded end lines up with the intended connection point once the surrounding wall, floor, or equipment mounting is finished. As with other threaded connections, an appropriate sealant should be used on the thread, and the joint should not be over-tightened, since excessive torque is generally harder on a molded-in insert than on a fully separate metal fitting.
