PPR Brass Insert Female Threaded Tee

PPR Brass Insert Female Threaded Tee is a branch fitting where the main run continues through two PPR fusion sockets, while the perpendicular branch outlet carries a brass female thread instead of a third PPR socket. It is used wherever a system needs to tap off a threaded connection — for a gauge, a small valve, or a threaded fixture — directly from a point along the main pipe run.
Because only one of the three ports is threaded, this fitting is more specialized than a standard equal tee and is generally selected specifically for situations where a threaded branch is required rather than another length of PPR pipe. The main-run sockets are fused to the pipe in the normal way, while the branch thread is molded into the fitting body in the same manner as the other brass insert fittings in this range.

Application Scenarios & Installation

This fitting is commonly used where a pressure gauge, small isolation valve, drain cock, or sampling point needs to be added to a main pipe run without interrupting the main line itself. In commercial and industrial piping, it is often installed at points along a distribution main where periodic monitoring or a secondary shut-off point is required. In residential systems, it may be used to add a threaded tap-off point for equipment such as a water softener or a filtration unit.
During installation, the main run sockets are fused to the pipe first, with the branch thread oriented toward the location where the threaded connection will actually be used. Because the branch is typically a smaller, secondary connection rather than a main supply path, installers should take care that any component threaded into the branch does not place excessive lateral stress on the tee body over time.
