PPR Concealed Stop Valve

PPR Concealed Stop Valve is a shut-off fitting designed specifically to be installed inside a wall or floor cavity, rather than left fully exposed like a standard inline valve. Once the wall or floor finish is completed, only a small access cover, extension spindle, or low-profile handle remains visible, while the valve body and its fused connections to the pipe stay hidden behind the finished surface.
This type of valve is generally used where a design or layout calls for a clean, uninterrupted wall or floor surface, but an isolation point is still needed at that location — for example, ahead of a concealed cistern, a built-in shower system, or a fixture supply line that runs through a finished wall. The valve body itself is fused into the pipe run in the same way as a standard PPR valve fitting, with the concealed design mainly affecting how it is mounted and accessed rather than how it connects to the pipe.

Application Scenarios & Installation

Concealed stop valves are commonly used in bathroom and kitchen installations where fixtures are supplied through finished walls or floors and a visible inline valve would interrupt the intended appearance of the space — for instance, ahead of a wall-hung toilet cistern, a concealed shower valve, or a built-in basin mixer. They are also used in commercial and hospitality projects where a consistent, unobtrusive finish is part of the design brief.
Because the valve will be inaccessible once the wall or floor is finished, installers need to carefully plan the depth and position of the access point (cover plate, extension spindle or similar) before the surrounding construction is completed, since correcting the position afterward generally means reopening the finished surface. As with any valve intended for occasional emergency use, it is worth confirming that the access point remains clearly identifiable and reachable after the final finishes are installed.
